The company was established in 1866 by Edward Marlow in Birmingham, UK. Originally it was a supplier of photographic glass. Later, sometime between 1881 and 1883 the company started to manufacture cameras and in 1888 it was listed as a camera maker. In 1893 Edward’s sons acquired the business and became Marlow Bros. In 1901 Hurman Ltd took over and continued to use ’MB’ mark. Finally, in 1904 the company became a part of Kodak.
