1925-1926. The second batch of Leica cameras. Elmax f3.5/50mm lens. About 1000 cameras were manufactured. Very rare and valuable. It is hard to find a camera in original, non-upgraded condition. Add 50% for pre-500 s/n.

Both are right. Elmax design was the early one. There were only ~1000 cameras produced.
Elmar lens design is the "regular" one, so it is not marked as such on the camera names. So,
