The flip up flash appeared on several Cameo and Advantix cameras. It is a manually operated snapshot camera with an Ektanar lens. Apertures settings are available, one of two depending on the chosen film speed ISO 100/200 plus ISO 400, or wide open when the flash is switched on. The flash unit is 4 inches above the lens to help eliminate red eye and the system works quite well. The camera also has a flash on/off switch, flash ready indicator light, right thumb film advance wheel, film rewind release button on the bottom, plus film rewind fold down crank, frame counter, and it uses two AA batteries to power the flash. This camera was manufactured from 1990 to 1994 and made in Taiwan. The original cost was $49.95 when new.
