The Ektralite range was developed at the same time as that of Ektra series. It corresponds to the same cameras, but with a built-in flash. This 110 film camera was announced in France November 1980 and was manufactured in Germany from 1981 to 1987. The Ekralite 400 was the basic model of the range during the launching of the Ektralite series. Its lens is a Reomar 24 mm F/6.8, fix-focus from 4 feet (1.2m) to infinity. A cursor makes it possible to choose between the mode “sun” and the “lightning” flash and the turns the flash on/off. The use of the flash regulates the aperture to 6.8 and speed to the 1/60 of a second. In the other position, if the film is Kodacolor 400, speed is 1/250 of a second and the aperture F/9.5. With the film Kodacolor II, the speed is 1/125 of a second and aperture 9.5. The flash and flash ready light is powered by two AAA batteries with a compartment accessed from the back of the camera. The camera also has a right thumb film advance slide lever, frame count view window in the back, optical viewfinder, and the cover seconds as a vertical handle when opened.
