Its wide-angle lens is perfect for photos of small groups or individuals, indoor or outdoor activities, and environmental surroundings like gardens, street scenes, architecture, and landscapes. For people shots though, this is definitely a "Full-Res" lens. If you get closer than about 8 feet and try to focus in on the face, the 38mm equivalent lens will noticeably distort facial features.
