DARLING by SHINCO SEIKI Tokyo Japan (circa 1954-55). One of the rarest sub-minature cameras. Negative size 10X12 cm.14 exposures on unperforated 16mm film .Black Bakelite body with Black lacquered Metal front and back plates. Uses Mamiya type or individual cassetes. Vertical design 10 X4 X 5 cms. (4 X1.5X 2 inches). Fixed focus from .9m- inf.. Designed to resemble a small movie camera."Sliding Aperatures" from f:8 to f:22. "Guiloltyne Type" shutter I and B The from panel Engraved with the camera name Darling-16 in yellow letters. Optical viewfinder with framing for close-up and portraits. "Automatic Stop" frame counter. In Superb original condition with only a few very minor scratches on the back plate a small amount of paint loss on the inner front of the lens mount and a very slight rub mark just behind the film advance release (hardly visible). Complete with its screw in metal stand. A really Rare Vintage Collectible (and usable) sub-miniature marvel.
