What a shame that someone, not knowing what this actually is, incorrectly "verified" this as a still video prototype on the certificate of authenticity. It is clearly an auto-focus device. One can see the two IR lenses left and right and, on the opposite side, the drive motor for the focus ring. It has been for sale for quite some time. In any case this is an amazing artifact.
