I read on this web site http://www.cameraquest.com/simplex.htm that this camera is actually the first 35 mm camera. Any comments ?

Looks like I was to fast with my question - this link lists quite a number of cameras that pre date the Simplex.

There is a variety of opinions, and each fits in its own category - first mass produced 35mm camera, first to use perforated film, first to use generally acceptable full-frame 24×36mm format (Simplex I think), first to use daylight-loading single-use cassette, first 35mm stereo camera, first 35mm SLR camera (GOMZ Sport/Ihagee Kine Exakta), etc.
