| The company was established by John Mawson c1839 in Newcastle-on-Tyne, UK. In 1865 the partnership with Joseph Swan, who was his assistant since 1848, was formed and the company became Mawson & Swan. After John Mawson’s death in 1867 his widow and Thomas Morgan joined as partners forming Mawson, Swan & Morgan. The company existed until mid-20th century. |
