The company established c1842 in London as partnership between father and two sons. George Knight died in 1845 and his sons George Jr and Richard dissolved their partnership in 1855. George Jr continued business under the name of George Knight & Co as a maker and seller of equipment and supplies for photography and chemistry. His business was foreclosed in June 1862 and later reopened under the ownership of his former employee James How. |
