It was made using the one in the International Museum of Photography as a model. Mine was temporarily displayed at the Bingham Museum of Photography at U.C. Riverside, CA.
I can't believe that these museum quality replicas have a value in excess of $10,000.00.
I'll post pics. of mine if anyone is interested.

Yeah, quality replicas are somewhat rare and expensive. Please, share a photo as an attachment, it's alway interesting to see other models!

I now have the Giroux camera in my possession.
Attached are a few images of it taken in my kitchen.
The camera is a replica of the one in the collection of the International Museum of Photography. The only accessory is the folding ground glass and mirror set-up. No plate holder or developing boxes.
It was completed in 1981 and that date is stamped on the base.
There are a couple of unusual wooden toggles on the base. I assume they are to secure the camera in the shipping box or on a base of some kind. They were on the original so they were faithfully reproduced.
Can anyone guestimate a value for me and suggest the best way to market this piece.
