In 1835, John Benjamin Dancer took over his father’s optical and scientific instrument making business located in Manchester, UK. In 1841-1945 he partnered with W.Abraham, but later carried on his business alone until 1878 when he had to stop his work due to health issues. The business was sold to Richard Suter in August 1896. |
