In 1978, Haking of Hong Kong acquired the name Ansco from GAF who dropped out of the market the year before. They set up Ansco Photo Optical Products Corp. in Elk Grove City, Ill. They started selling their own cameras under the better known Ansco name. One of their cameras, the Bentley WX-3 was upgraded and became the Ansco 1065. The model 1100 has a Ansconar 45mm lens, flash bar slot, fold down rewind crank that if pulled up released the film compartment, optical view finder, 4 aperture settings, and it took 35mm film. The 1100 was a relabeled Haking. They're crappy cameras and were also labeled for giveaway promotions with names like TIME, Macy's, Trump Tower, Sea Escape, Mountain Dew, and so on. They're fun and cheap like the Diana.
