The company was founded by Jonathan Fallowfield and William Jameson as a Fallowfield & Jameson chemist shop in 1859. Three years later, after William retired, the company was renamed to J. Fallowfield & Co.. The first cameras were manufactured in about 1888. The company stopped its camera-oriented business around 1919. |
