Leica III C Converted to F "Royal Navy"

Postby fbsgfoto » Wed Jan 29, 2020 8:56 am

I've seen some "PATT XXXX" Royal Navy Leica, mostly IIIc, all with war and pre war serials but today I've got a curious variant. A PATT 8665 1947 Leica C upgraded to III F.

Any information about this cameras will be thanked.

Looks pretty straightforward that it was sent back for a factory upgrade.

Yes, it was converted from C to F in Leica. Sadly, Leica do not have information of this camera, as they told me documents from this time was not preserved
