question

Postby dadadada1 » Fri Dec 01, 2017 12:44 pm

I have this fotocamera, and I would like to know it's value, so if you could write me your opinion. I approximately know from what age it is (when it was made), what are the basic characteristics ( Leitz Elmer 1:35 f , 50mm ) and that it was used by German reporters during World War II. Thank you.

This is actually Zorki. Produced from 1965 until 1990. And it's not original Leica. The price varies from 25 to 50 US dollars in Eastern Europe.
Up to 100 and 120 in the west.

There is specialized literature "Leica fakes", and probably also collectores of fakes. If the fake is well made and especially if it has documentation of fooling someone to pay a lot, it will be worth more than a standard Zorki.

And of course, if one wishes to actually use it, I would expect the 4 element standard lens to be surprisingly good when stopped down.
