LiveAuctioneers

Postby diser » Mon Jul 20, 2020 7:41 am

All of the collectiblend members received e-mail about data breach recently. As I mentioned, these types of things happen quite often across the world. Seems like LiveAuctioneers was hacked last month as well. Moreover, they use a weak password encryption method in the database, so most of the passwords were already decrypted. If you ever used that service, I'd suggest you to change your password there ASAP.

Just a point of note,

i have had my system running a bit slower, ran Spywareblaster, and i am getting tracking cookies.
I have taken some time narrowing it down and i think its coming from here, but the website in not scure on one section, you may want to look at this. Everything is secure till you type a camera in the search bar, as soon as you do this, it leaves the secure area with a warning triangle showing its no longer secure. It may have been like this before..but i dont think so.
Just thought i would mention it. Its all ad cookies, and tracking cookies.

Thanks Ger,

Installed Spywareblaster - didn't find any alerts.
The "not completely secure" message was because of http, not https links to the "camera heritage museum". Changed that one I don't see that warning anymore.
Let me know if you still see it.

Eugene.
