My youtube channel.

Postby groznim84 » Thu Nov 14, 2019 5:28 am

I'm making my video collection on YouTube. All my cameras.
At least 500 videos and more.
If you are interested check it out.

I have some critical remarks to be made regarding your Youtube productions. First, it's not clear ( without watching your videos) what it should be. Title of your post here " My video collection" suggests, at least that's how I receive it, that you have a collection of some vintage video VHS cassettes or maybe movie cameras you somehow presented on youtube. But then the first sentence in your description : "I'm making my video collection on youtube" renders me totally confused. So badly confused that I feel almost compelled to click on hyperlink you provided.
And here we have few cameras shown , each in it's own short video footage. All like Charlie Chaplin movies. MUTE.
I doubt you'll find an audience member who didn't fall asleep at 4th, mabe 5th camera presentation. I nap at my computer quite often and it happens even during watching some Hollywood thrillers or even ballgames... Let alone all 500 cameras you own. BTW, I'd probably click myself to death trying present all 1200 cameras plus circa 2000 lenses I own this way.
Youtube has a nice feature of "auto-animation". Because you chose "mute" presentation of your collection, it will perfectly serve your purpose. You simply take a snapshot of a piece of your gear and Youtube does the rest. If you want to show - say - two different aspects of your camera, just take two snapshots ( e.g. one "closed" and one with open film chamber) and Youtube will seamlessly animate it for you. I believe you can add titles and short description ( e.g. vintage year or type of camera : RF, SLR, TLR, rollfilm, large format 6x9 film, semi film 4.5 x 6, dry plate, wet plate, and whatnot) plus you can upload dozens of snaphots at once and Youtube will give you nice, animated and many minutes long presentation.
Don't take my remarks as bone - crushing criticism. It's just the way I see it. After all we live in era of extremely tough competition everywhere. And maybe especially on Youtube ;)

Thanks for the comment, that's why I put it here in the forum to hear other opinions. I had a render problem and that's why my clips were worse. The others will be better. I realized that just pointing the camera out is boring so I intend to change the concept a bit. I am new to these waters so I think every start is difficult. Thanks again.

It works great, and the battery lasts only 10 minutes. :)
