why private?

I'm going to ask very stupid question. I was browsing the page where everybodys name and number of cameras is listed.
I saw quite a few names that said (private) beside their name. Clicked on a couple and saw nothing. Don't get me wrong, to each his own. But I joined this site to share my collection with persons of same intrests and get feedback, which has been great So why would anyone join here, and then not show off what they have. At least the picture

There are a lot of collectors (not necessary on this site) who do not want everyone to know what they have in the house.

And this is understandable. Have you ever wondered who is buying those $1.000.000 collectible cameras, and where do they keep them? Even if it's $50.000 camera, I wouldn't want some folks several blocks away from me to know about it
