Unknown cameras

I would like to have the possibilty to add unknown cameras. I tried to do that, and there is a category "unknown cameras", but if I click that it sais: "Camera does not exist in the database. It was added to the list of new cameras to be checked later." Nice, but I still can't add it to my collection.
