Serial numbers

Postby Madd10 » Tue Mar 28, 2017 2:52 am

I think that a standardized list of serial numbers would be interesting.

Either as a separate item or integrated in the Lenses and Cameras. In order to get it started here are a couple of links

To be welcomed, but quite a bit of work to match with the current lists.

Useful for dating objects, but only if the numbers are accompanied by a year. Unfortunately many brands have a rather long timespan for their products. Also some interesting lists may not be in the public domain (books). This calls for a cooperative effort.
