Adding sales data
Re: Adding sales data
I like this very much! Awesome! It's also very straightforward and simple so that even novice collectors can use it. Great job!
Re: Adding sales data
Still in the testing mode, but now the prices you add are being shown in the list, and are affecting the value calculation.
Prices still needed to be reviewed before being posted, though I will add auto-approvals soon.
Here are a couple of examples

Re: Adding sales data
It works indeed very well and straight forward, I think it is a very valuable addition to get more sales data. Were you also planning to add this feature to the lenses section?

Re: Adding sales data
Will do at some point Lenses section is by far less than cameras, there are a lot of lenses not presented at all, so the process may be slightly different.
Re: Adding sales data
Thank you. One other improvement could be to add something that let's you know when you have submitted a price - this to avoid double entries. I added a few prices but do not know for which cameras exactly, not sure how this can be done.

Try this link
http://collectiblend.com/Cameras/mycam_add_hist_price.php
You can see it on the top of the add-a-price page as "List of my prices".

Re: Adding sales data
Is it possible to have the most recent price additions on top ? This avoids scrolling down the list everytime. I typically like to check my most recent entries to make sure that I do not make a double entry. Thanks. Mark

Re: Adding sales data
Is it possible to indicate if a price quote was including a lens or not (and maybe give the options to specify which lens was sold with the camera ?). I am looking at recent entries for the Pentax ME F and I assume that they are all for bodies only but am not sure. Also the initial prices for this camera were they for the body only or for the camera + 35~70 mm zoom ?

Re: Adding sales data
New additions are on top now
As far as lens vs no lens, usually if there is no note "body only", it means camera value includes the lens.
In the case with Pentax ME F all those cameras were sold with lenses (unless somebody forgot to click "body only" check mark).
Tracking the exact lenses may get painful, especially with manufacturers which had a lot of interchangeable combinations. If lens cost more than the camera itself, I usually separate such outfit into the different listing, or make comments in the listing itself. Here is an example:
http://collectiblend.com/Cameras/Canon/Canon-7-(Chrome).html
Canon 7 chrome with ordinary lens or no lens at all. If there are no-lens values, you'd see something like this:
Body only $180-200 $240-260 $460-480
With lens $340-360 $460-480 $800-900
http://collectiblend.com/Cameras/Canon/Canon-7-(Chrome-with-0.95-50mm-lens).html
Canon 7 chrome with 0.95 lens
This listing doesn't have "Body only" or "With lens" averages, since apparently it has to include lens, hence it shows just: $1000-1100 $1300-1400 $2400-2600
Let me know if this doesn't make sense
