Nikkor 5cm f/1.4 S·C Tokyo M39 (Leica LTM mount)

Postby cfelicio » Mon Oct 21, 2019 7:47 am

Hi,

I have a Nikkor 5cm f/1.4 S·C Tokyo M39 (Leica LTM mount) and in the table, here, has a reference to the rare version 8005xxxxx (serial number starting by 8005). I can't find anything about this batch. I have one starting by 500XXXX - photo attached. According to several database this is the first version / batch.
Does anyone can help me?

Tks in advance. Cheers,
Carlos

It looks indeed like a first batch (50050123 - 50052078) lens

Hi,
Yes according to that database. But here there's a "special" and rare lens called the 8005 series! I can't find anything about the lens. I'm assuming that 8005 is the starting number of the lens. Is the CollectiBlend wrong? They meant 500 series instead of 8005 series?

tks in advance,

Carlos, Mark, hi!

5005 lenses are somewhat rate, and 8005 are almost impossible to find. It was 8005* serial number indeed.

I don't know if 8005 s/n is a separate range, or it was just a mistake on some lenses. There was also 5008* series for f2 and 5006* for 3.5, which both too didn't fit the original numbering sequence. I've never seen 8005 lens sale after 2011, and I wasn't able to find any other references to it in my catalogs.
