Please help me determine the value of my items.

Postby k3nny.l0ggins » Wed Aug 14, 2019 8:34 pm

Hi....I have inherited a collection of antique photography items that I am trying to determine the value of.
I realize that people must come here all the time and ask about value and pricing and I hate to be just another
person doing that...Im hopoing that maybe my item is a bit more unique than most and may spark a little interest. Anyhow, I inherited what i believe to be a Rolleicord V - Model K3C. As far as I can tell, the camera itself is fully functional and in excellent near mint condition. The leather holster or casing is a bit worn however. What makes this camera interesting is that it came not just by itself but with what I believe to be some kind of all inclusive camera set with accessories. First off, all the items are contained in a medium to dark tan carrying case with a zipper top. Inside there is the camera, but then there is also a conical shaped leather satchel that contains four different colored lenses. There is also a light meter made by general electric that appears quite old. Then there are what appeaer to be a set of two more plain looking lenses that im assuming are for the same camera. Whats more, is in the very front of this tan carrying case are what I believe to be all of the oringinal documents that this camera came with...all in excellent condition. There is also some level of provenance to this camera as I also have what appears to be the original purchase order or invoice for the camera. According to the invoice the camera was purchased on Dec 21 1956 at a place called Kuster's Trading Company Inc in Curacao.Just about every value estimation i have seen is pertaining solely to the camera itself, not accounting for any other items. I am wondering what the value of this camera is considering all of the accessories I have with it, plus the original paperwork and some level of provenance. I have tried to be as accurate and descriptive as possible with what i wrote here. That being said I am certainly no photographer nor do I have any knowledge of antique cameras so if i have missed something, or ignored an area that deserves greater focus and attention please let me know,. I will also be happy to answer any questions that would help someone make a more accurate value judgement. Thank you in advance for both your time and for any help you can provide me. I look forward to hearing your responses.

Hi and welcome!

The Rolleicord V is worth around 175-225. All the other items you have don't really add value. The smaller lens type items are filters and aren't worth much on their own. Nice camera but not as collectible as their other model, the Rolleiflex
