Real of replica?
Real of replica?
I’ve just purchased what seems to be a 1/4 Plate Lancaster 1893 Instantograph Patent Camera that looks so new that it is hard to believe that could have 100 years so I would like to ask you if you know any Lancaster replica. I still cannot imagine that antibody could hand craft this camera as the originals are so cheap and easy to find. Please tell me your opinion.

Re: Real of replica?
Look like original but maybe refurbished with some replaced parts? Beautiful camera nonetheless!
Re: Real of replica?
After some researches, it turned to be a replica. Some time ago there was in Spain a collection named "build your own vintage camera" I think they used a Lancaster as the brand ended activity more than 50 years ago and they would not find any problem with patents and the use of the brand.
Curious but anyway a pity
