Hi,
I wonder if anyone can help me or point me in the right direction.
I inherited a lens and I'm trying to get a rough idea of what it's worth. Prices for similar lenses on ebay seem to vary wildly, but I've yet to spot this exact lens.
Here's what's written round the front of the lens:
Hugo Meyer & Co Gorlitz & New York Nr783184 Kino Plasmat 1:1.5 foc. 2 inch Pat. Dr Rudolph
It has a c-mount, so presumably intended for something like a 16mm Bolex H-16 cine camera.
It is in very good condition, apart from a few light fungal spots on or just behind the front of the lens. There are no discernible marks (scratches, fungus, etc) on the rear of the lens. Lens and aperture rings are very smooth and the iris opens/closes nicely. Comes with original leather pouch, rear lens cap, lens hood and a yellow filter.
I've attached some images.
Many thanks in advance.
Angus
