I have a camera in my collection witch I cant find at Colectiblend. Maybe someone can help me figure out where I can find more information about this camera.
It is a Boyer Series VIII and I think bakalite.

Hi,
Boyer is actually not the name of the camera, but rather the lens.
The camera itself is a Photax, as on the lens cap.
There are a few different versions (all made by M.I.O.M.) but try this one: http://collectiblend.com/Cameras/M.I.O. ... linde.html

Hey John,

Thanks allot for the quick respons! Found it but indeed not much difference between the Photax Blinde or the III. Very nice cam for my collection.

The Photax III became "Blindé" (blindé means armoured in French) when it was sold with an included bakelite cap which covered the entire front face of the lens tube.

This french bakelite camera with streamlined body has been a great success for MIOM and was copied all over the world Many clones are known as for example:
The Fotex by Raimundo Feher/Fotex (Spain)
The Kaftax and Banco cameras by Kafta
The AS PHOT and Gevaphot
The Gradisolo Lujo and Rex Lujo (Argentina)
The Fit by Pionyr in Tchecoslovaquia
Etc...

Attached is a photo of the Photax V. the last streamlined Photax produced by MIOM. Rather scarce (even in France)
