An unseen Alpa 11el with an unidentified leather

Postby MAD » Mon Jul 15, 2024 7:38 am

I have a special Alpa 11el that i haven’t been able to find anywhere in the internet, it seems to be snakeskin, is there any information about this camera, and a possible estimate?

The US importer karl Heitz provided all amnners of covers as an extra service. I once bought a green one at his office in New York. So I presume gtaht this version came from there, but do take a look at the production numbers. Some "fake" Alpas were built fro parts after Pignons went broke adn stoppd production. They are usually fitted with less common and price- increasing features. That does not make themn as fake as disguised FED or Zorki posing as Leica, but still not genuine (perhaps even rarer). Try the Westlich auction to test the market.
