Re: How could an accessory kit sell for so much more than camera
Well, it's not "just accessory kit", it's in like new condition, original boxes, instructions, etc. Nice, collectible item. As I said before, there aren't many kits in this condition left. There are a lot of cameras in "like new" condition though.

Re: How could an accessory kit sell for so much more than camera
Barbara, It depends on what kind of accessory kit was sold. Could you post a list to that auction? In general, full kits are rare because they were actually used a lot, parts were lost, manuals were torn, etc. Also, Polaroid manufactured it's cameras in hundreds of thousands per model, so they are n...

Re: Kodak Vest Pocket Autographic Japan Crystal
Dawn, Can you disassemble the camera and look behind the shutter? Kodak Anastigmat has a clear indication on the front, so it's not that. Meniscus Achromatic versions had a smaller opening, and actual lens are behind the shutter. Rapid Rectilinear (I beleive it's a double-meniscus lens?) could be th...

Re: Kodak Vest Pocket Autographic Japan Crystal
Dawn, I can't quite tell what lens have you got there... McKeown's says this camera should have either Meniscus Achromatic, Rapid Rectilinear or Kodak Anastigmat lens. Otherwise it should be similar to http://collectiblend.com/Cameras/Kodak-Eastman/Vest-Pocket-Autographic.html Your lens mount/shutte...

Re: Ansco Vest Pocket Model A
Yeah, Viceroy is a little hard to find, but it's not a golden mine either. I'd suggest you to wait for a week and see if this one will be sold - http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... 0287938086
It's a different model, but I think price should be similar.

Re: old camera
Manny, It was manufactured by "Balda, Germany", close to 1938. 120 film, 4.5x6 exposures. Also, the same camera was manufactured by "Photo-Pini, Germany", and had a name of "Baldax 0" according to McKeown's. You can find price for this camera over here - http://collecti...
