Re: What is the model of the camera LAICA?
Hi Robert Before buying this camera, did you make sure it was not one of these hundred of fake Leica manufactured using Russian Fed camera bodies. Some web sites are highlighting points to check in order to differentiate genuine Leicas from Russian copies. I am not a Leica specialist but looking at ...

Re: Goldstein - Olympic
Hi John, Very nice item ! Your box camera "Caves Ste Marguerite" is a variation of the cardboard cameras made by Goldstein that is scarce (even in France where I live). My collection includes eleven different Goldstein box cameras and I am still searching for this one. If we consider the d...

Goldstein - Olympic
Box cameras are not very attractive to most of camera collectors.
Sorry but I love them ....
This one is a bit special. It has been manufacturer by the French maker Goldstein to celebrate the 1948 Olympic games in London.

Re: FLASHFUN II
Hi Arnstone,
It seems that similar cameras of this model were assembled in Toronto by Canadian Kodak Co and in Rochester by EKC.
The only difference between the two being the marking at the bottom of the camera.
What about yours?
Seems that other colours were available .

Re: How do you display the collection?
Well....Not an easy question. Solutions may be very different with respect to many parameters. Displaying cameras on shelves seems to be the obvious way ....but is to be avoided in any cases. Cameras displayed on open shelves will rapidly suffer from dust deposit or/and fungus on optics if...

Kamera Werkstatten - Patent Etui
As far as compactness and manufacturing quality are concerned, the Patent Etui camera made by Kamera Werkstatten is a real gem.
I possess two versions of this model the "luxus" and the "standard" (black leather).

Nagel Librette 79
This is a quite nice folding camera from my collection.
It is a Librette 79 made by Nagel.
It is fitted with a Nagel anastigmat lens on a Compur Shutter
Format is 6.5 x 11 cm
Opening the camera to load a film is not obvious

Re: Alsaphot: Dauphin II
Perfectly right, the Dauphin II was also produced in France. I did not find any information about the number of Dauphin II produced in Holland. The history and causes of the cooperation between the French company Alsaphot and the Dutch manufacturer is quite unclear. Some info are provided on this pa...

Re: Foth Derby
What a nice and rare camera!
To be compared with a more basic version of the Foth Derby without rangefinder.

Re: Alsaphot: Dauphin II
Hello,
The Dauphin II "Made in Holland" is quite scarce (even in France). it is interesting to compare the first version of the Dauhin made in France by Alsaphot and the Dauphin II sub contracted in Holland.
Attached are pics of the two versions.
