Real of replica?
I’ve just purchased what seems to be a 1/4 Plate Lancaster 1893 Instantograph Patent Camera that looks so new that it is hard to believe that could have 100 years so I would like to ask you if you know any Lancaster replica. I still cannot imagine that antibody could hand craft this camera as the or...

Re: Mentor Goltz U. Breutmann Dresden camera price.
Hello, my guess is that is a Klein-Mentor (special, 6.5x9) / a Mentor Reflex. It has attached what it seems to be a super fast Prolinear 1.9/13.5cm but the left side of the camera is a little bit tricky. I could not spot any Mentor camera with that metal finish so my guess is that the leather cover ...

Re: Need help to identify " Robot Camera
Hello, you are right it is a Robot Star but for special purposes due to the lack of viewfinder, one of the flash ports and the speeds dial. Due to its automatic film advance mechanism were used in a wide variety of purposes, security cameras, speed radar, medical and scientific needs as the Storz en...

Curious Serial Number on Zeiss lens
Is there any colecting interest on lenses or cameras with curious serial numbers? I´ve just bought a Contax II with a Sonnar 50mm F2 with a quite “neat” serial number: 2400000 and I´ve never seen nothing like that before. Feel free to share yours.

Re: A camera to add
That's right even though not every "Apollo" share the same differences. Nikon F was slowly evolving to the F2. Mine is one of the last 13000 Fs

A camera to add
Hi I’ve seen that there are some variations of the Nikon F, first units, 66xxxx models, red dot ones.... but does not appear one named ”Apollo”. It was a late Nikon F that had some pieces from the F2. It was nicknamed after the space Apollo missions that used to carry Nikon Cameras but nothing to do...

Re: Contax Zeiss Ikon X 789
If the X789 is the serial number placed on its hotshoe, it could be a 1952 Contax IIa. It’s price depending on lots of things, if the shutter works, the rangefinder is ok, if it is cosmetically on good conditions, if the lens has no fungus and scratches and depending on which accesorios do you have ...
