average price of transactions.

You cooperate with Ebay in showing fairly precise links to current auctions. Ebay might not agree, but it would be in the interest of both sites if you were to automatically extract running averages of finished transaction prices. In that way your auction-price scales would be supplemented by curren...

Re: question

There is specialized literature "Leica fakes", and probably also collectores of fakes. If the fake is well made and especially if it has documentation of fooling someone to pay a lot, it will be worth more than a standard Zorki. And of course, if one wishes to actually use it, I would expe...

Re: Voigtlander Prominent

looks like the second type of the first version , about 50-60 000 produced and it is not in good shape. If the rangefinder and the shutter works and the optics are clean it should however get a buyer. No idea of where best to find one. It is unusual for an amateur to have a high-end camera with just...

Re: List lenses by brand, not by mount

You would need to look at the position of the aperture ring and other details and compare with the ZIV originals. As i mentioned, no new Zeiss construction seems to exist. Assembly from existing parts of old constructions would need to have the various elements in the same position. I strongly recom...

Re: List lenses by brand, not by mount

The only ZIV lens I have is for the Icarex TM. That one, the concave front element 50mm Ultron, is labelled Carl Zeiss, not Zeiss Ikon. It also has a very simple numerical marking of focal length and f number, no "mm" and "f". The other ZIV optics I have seen have had a similar s...

Re: List lenses by brand, not by mount

I quite agree. It should be moved away from under Zeiss- "ZIV"- Icarex and listed under Soligor with the mount and inscription noted.

Re: List lenses by brand, not by mount

I just looked at the Kaludbek catalogue that lists a Soligor wide and this tele as made by Soligor, but until I see a Zeiss list, I maintain my objection.

Re: List lenses by brand, not by mount

There is a 135mm f2,8 "Tele Auto" with an Icarex bayonet mount under ZIV on the Collectibend lens list. As far as I understand , that is lens which will fit the ZIV-bm, but not a lens offered or produced by ZIV. The 135 for the Icarex bm was the Super-Dynarex 135\4 catalogue number 11.2005...

List lenses by brand, not by mount

I just had a look at "ZeissIkon" under lenses; I presume that the intention is to differentiate the later ZIV from CZJ and CZ. However, the only lens listed is not a ZIV product, but a Soligor: is it actually labelled Zeiss -Voigtländer or does it just fit the ZIV Icarex? Heaps of M42 opti...

Re: Heinz Kilfitt SPORT-FERN-KILAR 400mm

The mount is designed to be interchangeable so most classic cameras can use the lens body. Impossible to judge from the pictures I can see here which mount is on it.
