Re: blitz-hexi camera prefect condition

This one will be tough to sell, no interest from collectors lately. Excellent condition in original box up to $40, but more like $10-20 in a good condition.

Kodak sizes classification.

Many of Kodak cameras have special codes in their names, like 2C, 3A or 4A. This is a general guide on the film sizes for these codes (in most cases it's accurate): Negative Size (in inches) Kodak Brownie Hawk-Eye Premo Roll-Film Usual Size 1⅝'' x 2½'' 0 0 0 - 127 2¼''...

Zeiss Ikon sizes classification.

From 1927 to 1960, Zeiss used "xxx/xx" system to indicate the camera model. Left digits shows camera model, and the right ones shows the negative size. The last digit of the left number was usually incremented by one if for new or improved model. This table should help you to find out the ...

Re: Leica I A value

Seems like you lowered your camera price on eBay from $1500 to $1275. I'll be more than glad to see your camera sold for this price. It will mean mine cost more than I think too ;-)

Re: old camera

Saku, I am afraid it doesn't cost a fortune. It may cost more than Beirax (which is about $30) because of the re-branding, but I wouldn't expect a lot of interest from buyers since there is no description of the "Filmex" anywhere. There is a lot of information on Beirax on the Thomas Knorr...

Re: Leica I A value

Considering it's not fake, has broken vulkanite, and worn out paint (I don't see if lens is clean, but I guess it it) this camera is about $900-1100. I have the same model in my collection (S/N - 4568). http://collectiblend.com/Cameras/Leitz/Leica-I-Mod-A-(4-digits-Number).html Also, considering the...

Re: Value of Rolleiflex

Different sources suggest different models for this serial number: Rolleiflex 3,5 A Automat Rolleiflex Model 4 Rolleiflex MX (type 2) In any case, if this one is in excellent condition, and doesn't need any lubrication or service, I think it's about $200-300. Will not make you rich, but will get you...

Re: old camera

It seems like rebadged Beier Beirax 6x9 cm (1936). Looks exactly the same, the lens is the same, as well as shutter (shutter manufacturer is unknown, could be Stelo, or Beier's own).

Re: old camera

Saku, you are right, it's definitely a filmex. It could a camera by Birnbaum (Czechoslovakia), which was not manufacturing it's own cameras, but was re-branding others. They have been selling a lot of cameras without names, with some unknown names, etc. It could be one of those cameras. I'll try to ...
