Re: Is this a Butcher mystery? or, do you know!?

This particular one may be a model No 0 (to be confirmed) as models No 1 to 4 have hinged front inst...

Re: Gallus: Derlux

The camera shown on this page may be a Derlux....or a Derby Lux! This model from Gallus, when released on the market, was first named Derby-Lux and very soon after this release was renamed Derlux. The so-called Derby Lux is far more difficult to find than the Derlux Looking at the front of the devic...

Certo Super Dolina

It seems that the photo on this page: http://collectiblend.com/Cameras/Certo/Super-Dollina.html is not a Super Dolina (page 198 of the McKeown) but could be the picture of a Dolina III (page 196 of the same guide).

Adox - Adrette 1

This pretty little camera is named Adrette 1 It is well made and has been manufactured in Germany by Wirgin for Adox (Similar Wirgin model was called Edinex). The format is 24x36 mm. I like the design of the body and the surface treatment of the metal parts that provides some sort of golden shinning...

Mecaoptic box camera

The box cameras are often disliked by collectors. Especially those who consider interesting only the rare and high priced devices . I love them because they are witnesses of an era that saw photography becoming a popular activity. This box camera has been made in France, probably by a company called...
