Re: Boyer Series VIII

The Photax III became "Blindé" (blindé means armoured in French) when it was sold with an included bakelite cap which covered the entire front face of the lens tube. http://www.collection-appareils.fr/x/html/page_standard_eng.php?id_appareil=8 This french bakelite camera with streamlined b...

Re: Appraisal please of "Stereoscopic Kinax 3d" Camera w/ Pics

Re: Gevaert: Rex Lujo

The very first bakelite camera with this very recognizable streamlined shape was the Photax II (also called Photax "blindé") built in France by MIOM from 1938 to 1947. http://www.collection-appareils.fr/x/html/page_standard_eng.php?id_appareil=950 Mister Kaftanski, when he left Fex, starte...

Re: Gallix Derlux 1945

Hi Marnix,
Your camera seems to be from Gallus and not Gallix.
Tell me if I am wrong.
You will find a list of possible repair places in Belgium on this page of the Sylvain Halgand website.
http://www.collection-appareils.fr/general/html/reparateurs.php
I hope this could help.
