That’s right Zeiss Novar lenses were unnumbered. A curious thing is that the combination of letter and number seem to be the same of Contax ones but cannot find accurate divine ration about this fact. Internet is full of coy-paste information

Well, at last a Leica expert Jerzy Wasowick has certified that the camera is authentic, the chrome painting and the vulcanite were upgrades lately but no maybe not for Leica. Maybe these were the only upgrading a the camera have. Good news in a world where the most part of Leicas “speak Russian”
