Re: National Silver Bakelite

Yes, the camera is called "National Miniature", but the company name is National Silver Co. This is one of the countless 'candid minicams' made by one of the Chicago companies such as Spartus, Galter, etc and branded for National Silver. See this page: http://camera-wiki.org/wiki/The_Chica...

Re: Projector

One point of interest is that the Bell & Howell model 414PD is the model used by Abraham Zapruder to capture the infamous footage of the assassination of John F. Kennedy. Unfortunately for potential sellers, this fact does not add to the value of the camera. When they do sell, they generally go ...

Brownie Hawkeye Flash

Seems to me the prices stated for the Brownie Hawkeye Flash are out of whack. You can get examples in excellent condition for $10 just about any time you want.

Re: kodak brownie IV

I'm not sure there was such a thing as the "Brownie IV". Can you post a picture (or link to a picture) of the model?

Re: Ansco Memo

Eugene, Another matter regarding the Memo: The photo displayed on the Memo (wood body) page is not an accurate representation of this variant. What you have there looks more like the Boy Scout version. May I suggest that you use the image I uploaded to flickr yesterday: http://www.flickr.com/photos/...

Re: Galter Production: Majestic

There is no Galter logo on my Majestic. In fact, I've been researching Galter Products (AKA Galter Mfg. Co.) and have never seen anything that could be considered a logo on any camera, box, or instruction booklet. Galter also manufactured binoculars and cigarette lighters, and I've not seen a Galter...

Re: Galter Production: Majestic

The Majestic (box camera) doesn't come up for sale very often, and it is a rather distinctive and attractive camera. I think $27 is perfectly reasonable for an example in good condition.

Diser: I believe the name of the company is actually "Galter Products".

Re: Personal Inventory

Diser:
I see that there is a link to your inventory at the top of this thread, but I don't see a link to anyone's inventory anywhere else, such as in an individual's profile. How can I find out who has their collection available for viewing?

Ansco Memo

Hi Diser, The prices for the Ansco Memo seem out of whack. Firstly, the price for the most common, leather-covered Memo is listed here as $220-240 for an example in very good condition. I have never seen one sell for anywhere near that price. In fact, I got mine for $45. Secondly, the olive drab pai...
