Re: Manufacturer vs. Brand
Thank you for your reply, Paul! Sorry for my late comeback. Adding to the subject, I learned last week that the manufacturer of the Gevaert cameras in Argentina was S.I.A.F. At certain point (I don't remember the year), AGFA-Gevaert and S.I.A.F. split up. Until then, they were manufacturing the Rex ...

Does anyone recognise this box camera?
I found it on sale in an Argentinian website. It has a plaque of the retailer in the front. The description says that the camera was produced by them in 1880's, but they neither produced cameras nor existed before the 1910's. I can say the seller writes in a flourish seller' style, but makes up a lo...

One user / many collections
Hi, I would like to be able to distinguish or separate the cameras in different collections, buckets or labels, to be able to filter and sort them. I consider my collection of cameras not as one, but several. I have Argentina collection, the Dutch collection, family heirlooms (which fit in neither o...

Manufacturer vs. Brand
Hi, I wonder about the distinction between brand and manufacturer. I know that it could be a complication to add such distinction in the database. It could be that my interpretation of those words as a non native English speaker differs from the proper definition. I see the manufacturer as the compa...

In the description says that it is the same as the Certo Phot, but it should be the Certina.
