Hi,

What does the medallion say on the side of the camera?

Seems to be Voigtländer. Most likely Avus model - there were several variations of it.

Does this mean that Dr Nagel produced cameras for Voigtländer?

One source suggests - yes. Interestingly, the bottom photos on olx.pt show Nagel front door embossing, and Voigtländer logo.

It was a turbulent time for Nagel, but I don't have enough information right now to confirm this. I didn't find any other traces of cooperation yet.

Another likely possibility - the shutter was taken from Nagel Vollenda and fitted on this camera.

Interesting,
Voigtländer produced cameras for much longer than Dr Nagel (who was acquired by Kodak), maybe Voigtländer had some capacity issues. I was also looking for the plate folders produced by Dr Nagel but could not find any that look similar to the one that sweetpea has posted. So I agree that the Voigtländer Avus seems to be the closest match. Still surprising that Voigtländer accepted the 'double branding' Nagel/Voigtländer.

Thankyou for the info, it seams this is an odd one out because certain features on this camera are not on any others I can find anywhere

So if I can't truly identify this camera how do I know what to sell it for?

The medallion reads 'Wurzburg Jost Photo'
