1959. 35mm film, SLR camera. Rare serial number range. First 1000 cameras S/N:6400000-6400999 are somewhat scarce. Matching 'tick mark' lens adds to the value. Some cameras from the same serial number range were upgraded: shoe insulator and inside mirror housing, etc - they are valued less.

One of these very early Nikon F cameras (n° 6400087) was sold on Ebay with a matching 50 mm 1.4 lens on July 4th 2016 for US $6.111. The camera shows heavy wear (C/D) and the seller did not specify if it was still working. Here are a few pictures . If you are quick you can still have a look before the item is removed by Ebay - Item n° 322170928099
