1959. 35mm film, SLR camera. The first Nikon SLR. 64* s/n black models are rare. Black bodies with 66* serial numbers are most likely fake. Bodies with early s/n and early features are more valuable. Right now all 64* sales are listed here notwithstanding the features, so estimate value is not correct. Please do your due diligence on the features.

One of Nikons Rarest Cameras..
Some experts say no more than 1000 of these were made..others say probably as few as 300-500(unfortunately
Nikon did not keep records of exactly how many black bodies were made)..However it is thought to be one
of Nikons rarest variants/Many went to professionals at the time and were heavily used so few come up today..most being in the hands of collectors.
Shutter fire in all speeds/Shutter curtains in good shape/Film winds on correctly..film counter working...
Mechanically all in all in good shape and without problems..

Included in this sale is the Photomic head which has been completely stripped down/cleaned..re-calibrated to take modern cells...
such as the EPX625g Energizer 1.5v & similar batteries..
..then reassembled to it's former glory and is now in full working order.
Very collectable camera being a 64 Black + photomic head.
