This company started manufacturing cameras as Motodori in 1937 (also used Tokiwa Kōgaku Kōgyō name), continued after the war in 1950s as Tōkyō Seiki K.K., then got renamed to Doris Camera K.K. (cameras listed as Tokyo Seiki) in 1955, then to Condor Camera K.K. around 1957, and finally to Sanyo Kōgaku-Kikai Co., Ltd. (cameras listed as Condor) around 1959.
