The Brownie Flashmite 20 camera was introduced in 1960 and discontinued in 1965. It has a molded plastic body, available in a few different colors, with a direct vision optical finder. It features a built-in flash holder that uses AG1 bulbs and 3 apertures with EV scale indictors which basically translates: EV13=f/11 - EV14=f/16 - EV15=f/22. It also has fairly primitive focusing which sets it apart from many other Brownie models. The Brownie Flashmite 20 camera was considered a more advanced Brownie. The ability to adjust f/stop and focus was marketed to a more advanced home photographer. With the built-in flash holder this a complete camera "system". This functional camera was designed by Arthur H. Crapsey, the designer of many popular Kodak cameras. This camera was assembled in the US and the UK from 1961 to 1964. The camera has a single speed shutter and uses 620 roll film no longer available but respooling 120 film is an option. The original list price was $15.00 and Kodak did not know how many were sold. The camera has a F/11 Meniscus lens and uses two AA batteries for the flash. This info was mostly gleaned from The Kodak Brownie Page.
