The "Normal" black cameras have a rough black surface. There is also a black Advocate I camera with smooth black enamel finish, different tripod mount, no film advertising label on the rear door and two focusing scales, one for normal film and another for infrared. The camera has no serial number and could be a unique pre-production camera. The lens is a Dallmeyer Anastigmat 35mm f/4.5 lens.
