George Hare (1825-1913) was employed by Thomas Ottewill, helping to manufacture cameras. At some point he left the company, and established his own company G. Hare around 1857. His son, Jimmy, was helping him until 1879, then he left the business, moved to USA and became a well-known photographer. The company slowly dissolved by 1911.
